Advert task

We were asked to create adverts for two other people and ourselves when we were put into smaller groups. We were given a set of questions to ask and answer to each other to gain an understanding of our practice in terms of graphic design. We used each others blogs to gain some more information on the style of work we are producing to make an advert that would fit with the chosen person.

For James I made a simple design that tried to use negative space and simplicity to create his advert. I went for the handmade alternative from working on the computer, as although james works predominantly through digital I though I could achieve a similar outcome by using paper cut techniques.

For Danielle's advert I went again for the paper cut technique, this was due to the fact she mentioned this through the questions we asked. I noticed through her work she liked to work with geometric shapes and patterns but she also liked quite organic design, so i sort of merged the two together.

For my own personal advert I went for a very quick sketch that I feel best describes some of my work in the way it looks, I chose the name Jackson Steel as an alias for a laugh, I kinda like it though.
